It suddenly occurred to me about 2 minutes ago; Wow - I haven't updated DA in ages!
And so it seems my last journal update was 21st Feb 2009; which correct me if I'm wrong - was about The Brits and how awesome a time I had while attending such an amazing event?!
Well obviously SOOO much has happened since February.
I've left Corpus Christi after finishing my GCSE exams.
For anyone who cares; I got 6A*s, 2As and a B
I am now in St David's College which - tbf - is blooming brilliant!
Before enrolling there, I was basically shitting myself.
It was daunting to think "wow - this is the next big step in my life to growing up" but since I've been there I've realised it's all pretty dandy.
I have some free time in the week which is handy for when you're shattered and in need of a break...
My teachers are really cool and laid back.
We're treated like adults!
So yeah; it's safe to say I <3 St David's
What else...?
Obviously I would be mad not to mention Take That.
The concerts in both Cardiff and Wembley were INCREDIBLE!
Now, some of you may think I'm biased getting all OMFGTHEYAREFREAKINAWESOME when I'm talking about Take That; but even certain friends of mine went to the show not feeling so enthusiastic as me and ended up being blown away.
They had a huge elephant for God's sake!
And they just put together a truly amazing show.
Plus - Mark sung Back For Good to me in Cardiff 8)
Oh - another bit of big news.
I'm now Orange.
No longer am I a Babe.
For all you non-Thatters out there - Basically, I am now all for Jason Orange and not so fussed over Mark Owen
Nothing against Markie boy... but he's getting married this year... and Jason just looked so freaking HOT on this tour!
Actually scrap that - HE IS SO FREAKING HOT!
After my exams came to an end, I spent a good month or so in London.
It was nice to see my dad for longer than a week ahah!
And it was also amazing to see Take That at Wembley - although tubing it to and from the stadium every day was a pain in the butt.
I was getting to the stadium at around 9am at the latest, then sitting outside Wembley till 4pm when the gates opened, then standing till 5pm when Gary Go performed, then waiting 5:30pm - 6:30pm for the second support act (which depended on the date of the concert you were at) then waiting 7:15pm till 8:30pm for Take That to come on stage.
Saying that though - it was totally worth it.
Talking about support acts - one of my life goals was achieved on tour:
I SAW THE SCRIPT PERFORM LIVE!
It was incredible
I was front row to see Danny cry as he looked out at Wembley. None of them could believe that they had made it - but Danny definetly seemed more emotional.
They sung all my favrouites including The End Where I Begin, Rusty Halo and Heroes which I adoreeeeeeee!!
Danny is fit as ever.
Still.
Oh and a second goal was achieved:
I SPOKE TO JASON ORANGE!
Well I say 'spoke'...
We (Gemma and I) went hotel'ing to see Take That and Jason ended up standing like right next to me.
For once, I actually got star struck looking at him.
I couldn't ask him for a photo.
I couldn't ask him for an autograph.
I just muttered the word "Wow."
To which he looked at me, smiled/laughed softly then got into the car to go to the stadium.
Short and sweet - but definetly THE best conversation I've ever had with anyone. 8)
Okayyy this wasn't intended to be a Take That journal so I'll shut up with the Take That stuff.
So yeah - back to London.
I had amazing fun there.
I spent time with Katie and Gemma and Anyz and Chantal!
Gemma, Katie, Emily and I went to Radio1 one morning to meet JLS but they got cancelled as we were travelling to the studios, so we just decided to continue in our journey to Radio1 and hopefully meet whoever was down there.
We arrived at 8 in the morning but Chris Moyles was having his day off so Vernon Kay was on the breakfast show instead.
Long story short:
1 - I made best friends with Billy, Chris Moyles' security guard.
2 - I had a half an hour long conversation with Twin B! G'woooon!
3 - I met Comedy Dave <3
4 - Vernon Kay is a prick
5 - Aled is a sweetheart.
6 - The Chris Moyles team spoke about us a lot on the radio not only on that day but the next day too! And Aled thought I was from Swansea... but I'll forgive him cause it was early in the morning
I had the chance on the 19th July to go to T4 On The Beach.
It rained.
For the first time ever at a T4 event - IT RAINED!
It was a cool experience but I don't think I'd do T4 again.
Unless I had VIP passes to get to the sofas behind the stage where N-Dubz and crewage like to hang
Apart from that nothing else has happened really.
Actually tell a lie... I MET ROBBIE WILLIAMS!
and before you moan - ROBBIE IS NOT "TAKE THAT STUFF" - yet
)Yeah so - Me and Katie went to the Radio1 studios to meet him a week after results day for our GCSEs.
It was incredible.
He signed my Sing When You're Winning album.
And I got to meet Chris Moyles and see Beverly Knight, Jeremy Vine, George Lamb, Antonnio Carluccio, Johnny Walker and some other amazing people as we were hanging around Radio1 and Radio2.
Goodtimes.
Ok so now I think that officially that is it.
Obviously that is excluding all the boring stuff like birthdays, evil-girlfriend-of-the-father stories and other shit
I've got a cold and I'm breathing like an idiot here.
And my throat is in agony so it hurts to sing
Which is horrible when I'm listening to Pixie Lott and I'm incredibly tempted to burst out into some "Cry Me Out."
Ahahaha!
So that's all for now m'loveys!
I'm going to save all my research into the University of Westminster and then turn off Mr Lappy cause I got college tomorrow and I don't think being tired really helps with work...
Oh aye - I've already started looking at universities. I've set my heart on one single course and I'm gonna do all I can to get onto it!
And I'm waiting for news back from the hospital about training to do the hospital radio. It sounds funny but at the end of the day - it's the experience I need to get recognised for universities and higher work experience.
Plus after a few months they basically give you your own regular radio show.
